Comcast Age Discrimination in Florida

Does age discrimination take place at Comcast?  Comcast is able to hide most of their age discrimination, sexual discrimination and other employment law violations as they never make it to court.  Comcast forces it’s employees to use arbitration, with the results never becoming public.

There are examples of people alleging Comcast employment law violations all over the internet, as in this question posted to the Avvo “Ask a legal Question” area of their site.   The question starts with…

My supervisor said in a meeting why should I pay you older guys what I am paying you when I can hire younger guys at half the pay, I was shocked to hear that, one of the other guys were upset by it and complained to his boss but got nowhere, he was even threatened to be put on another worse shift if he did not like it…

Comcast Hit With Bias Suit From Transgender Ex-Employee

In this 2016 Law360 posting, a Transgender employee asserts sex discrimination and retaliation for firing her after she returned from gender reassignment surgery.

By Fola Akinnibi

Law360, New York (September 7, 2016, 7:40 PM EDT) — A transgender woman filed suit against Comcast Inc. in Tennessee federal court on Tuesday, accusing the media giant of sex discrimination and retaliation for firing her after she returned from gender reassignment surgery.
The complaint, brought by former employee Jessica Brown, alleges gender discrimination and retaliation, according to court documents filed on Tuesday. Brown said that she was suspended after reporting harassment and fired when she returned to work from gender reassignment surgery because of her gender identity.

“Comcast suspended Jessica and ultimately fired her because of her protected status as a woman or, alternatively, because of her non-conforming sexuality,” the complaint said. “Jessica suffered damages as a result of Comcast’s discrimination including lost wages, benefits as well as pain and suffering.”...visit the website for more…

I need a lawyer to sue Comcast Communications for terminating my employment claiming bad performance which was manipulated

I was on STD for almost 3 months (10/27/14 – 01/15/15), when I came back to work I was placed on a performance plan and I was told they were being very understanding with me due to all my health issues. I complained to the Comcast Listens Department, and after I did that, they started manipulating my team’s calls in order to make them and myself fail the sales and performance metrics. They fired me on Friday 06/19/2015. They clearly Retaliated against me…

Comcast Listens and then fires you

Comcast Listens and then fires you

In this website post on glassdoor.com a Sales Supervisor in Albuquerque, NM reviews their experience while working at Comcast and reportedly got fired for using the Comcast Listens program.  (Comcast has a non-retaliation policy so this person should seek help if claims are valid)

In summary they do not recommend working at Comcast, have a negative outlook on the future, and disapproves of the CEO.   An excerpt…

Pros
I wish I could provide a pro, but the paycheck is not even aligned with expectations set by the recruiters.

Cons
Lack of leadership, hostile environment, condescending managers. No availability of management. Misrepresentation of expectations with pay and schedule by recruiter and managers. When asked for advice or brought up concerns all human resources and the director can say is “Hang in there” – Directed by my local recruiter to file a Comcast Listens report regarding my concerns and I was let go the next day. If a company asks for feedback from its own employees then why does the employee have to be let go?…     Read More Here

Comcast Pissed EX employee Fired for exposing corruption

Here’s a website post from PissedConsumer.com where a Comcast Direct Sales Installer in Beaverton, Oregon documents his disappointing experiences with Comcast’s HR and open-door policy.

I was a Direct Sales Installer in Beaverton, Oregon. Complained to Curt Henninger about corruption in my department involving my co-worker, Chris McQuery, our lead, Alan Jost, our supervisor, Don Willis, Don’s supervisor, Tim Ream, and Tim’s supervisor, Mike Williams. When I told Curt about how nobody “knocked doors,” inspite of the job description of door to door salesperson. Success was determined only by who had what territory. I had finally built up a territory of mine to a successful level…
